Chatterton

WordPress Block Theme

Chatterton is a modern, accessible, and highly customizable WordPress Block Theme (FSE) designed for cultural, community, and magazine-style sites. It features a clean Material-inspired design, responsive grid layouts, and server-side rendered blocks for maximum flexibility.

Requirements

  • WordPress: >= 6.0 (Full Site Editing support)
  • PHP: >= 8.1
  • Web server: Nginx or Apache

Features

  • Full Site Editing (FSE) with theme.json and HTML templates/parts
  • Modular CSS for each area (grid, header, hero, etc.)
  • Custom server-side rendered block: Hero (latest sticky or latest post)
  • Responsive Material Design grid for archives and search
  • Accessible navigation and focus styles
  • Font preloading and design tokens
