Supporting an https scheme would be very useful, in order to enable more decoupling. Right now, the only way to have the recordings on a different computer than the one hosting techrec is to use filesystem shares (cifs, nfs, …).

An HTTP scheme could solve this.

Bonus points:

  • support https
  • support basic auth
